The ingredients needed to cook Air-Fried Chicken Parmesan:
- Use thick chicken breast, cut in half
- Get dried breadcrumbs
- Use grated parmesan
- Prepare Salt to taste
- Get Cracked black pepper to taste
- Take mixed dried herbs
- Take small egg, beaten
- Provide Cooking spray
- Use grated mozzarella
- Use Marinara sauce (I used the sauce attached) (see recipe)
Steps to make Air-Fried Chicken Parmesan:
- Mix together the breadcrumbs, parmasan cheese, mixed herbs, salt and pepper in a bowl. Set aside.
- Using a meat tenderiser flatten the chicken pieces.
- Preheat air fryer to 190c for 3 minutes.
- In the meantime dip the chicken in the egg then coat on all sides with the breadcrumb mixture. Spray both sides with cooking spray. Air-fry for 7 minutes, turning once. Note that times may varying.
- Top each chicken piece with 1-2 teaspoons of marinara sauce then sprinkle with cheese. Air-fry for further 3 minutes or until cheese has melted.
- Serve immediately with pasta or salad.
Dip each chicken piece in flour, then butter, then breadcrumbs. Place on air fryer rack or basket. Top with extra Parmesan, if desired. Place chicken breasts in single layer inside air fryer basket. If using smaller air fryer basket, you will need to cook in batches.
